Steps to connect Multiple Monitors to your Desktop/Laptop

A “dual” monitor setup is use full  in many ways. You will be wondering to know how to connect two monitors to a single computer.It's very easy. First of all i will give you the advantages of connecting two monitors to a workstation.


                       When you are connecting two monitors to a computer, they will be working as a different desktops. It not the duplicate of the other. Those Icons and files in one monitor will be different from those in second monitors. You can easily select b/w two screens when you want move any files or shortcuts to your desktop. Another advantage is that, you can run different applications in those screens. For example, You can run “VLC”  in one monitor and “Firefox” in another desktop that will help you to chat easily will viewing a movie. This will be more help full for professional like graphic designers, content writers, programmers etc.. I think you got the idea..?

Method to setup a dual monitors in Windows 7

1) 1st connect your 2nd monitor to your computer.For laptop, you can connect by using  HDMI out or S-Video out. For desktop, Look for whether your mother board has present any another ports for connecting the second monitor or by using a video card you can connect. 
Start Windows. You can connect using two ways!
 1st press Windows button+P simultaneously & you will see a option like given below.
When you select “Duplicate” you can see the same desktop on the 2nd one.When you select “Extend”  you can see 2 different desktops on 2 monitors. Select for your requirements.
2) The 2nd method for connecting two monitors in Windows 7 is by:-
           Right click on desktop-> select “screen resolution”
You will see a window as shown below.
You will see 2 screens named '1' and '2'. You just select one of the screen & configure it as your need. For dual display mode, select “extend” or duplicate from “multiple displays”. It's easy. Enjoy........
