Windows 8 -Requires Training

Windows 8,Latest editions of Windows will be different from the older one when use the completely new Metro interface with removing some important elements like the Start menu from the older windows 7 are still available in the  “desktop” interface. Even IT professional may need to search in web to figure out some features.

Windows 8,with it's  Metro interface, which was designed mainly for touchscreens. By using a pointing device like a mouse or a touchpad, it will more difficult than using touch-based device. This is only a preview of Windows 8,The features and the way they way you can access may change in the final version.With that in mind, here are some answers to the basic questions that the workers will be asking on  their 1st day of using Windows 8.
1. How can I Log On?
If you’re not the one installing Windows 8, the 1st thing you will see on a Windows 8 device is the scenic background having a overlaid clock. Similar to using CTR+ALT+DEL to reach the log on screen in early version, to reach the log on screen in Windows 8 you should either swipe (slide your finger through the touchscreen) or drag the Lock screen upward.
2. Start Menu?
The Start menu is gone. It will no longer be available in Windows. For that, your starting point in the Metro interface comprised of smart tiles which will act like a desktop shortcuts and contains all sorts of informations related to the program, Like showing your latest email messages,or the upcoming calendar appointments or the incoming chats.
3. How could I Get Back to Metro?

To get back to Metro, open the Bar on the right edge by either swiping in a touch screen or by moving the pointer to the lower-right corner. From that menu select the Start icon which will help you to reach the Metro’s Start screen.
4. Where Are My Apps?
Some of the applications are shown as tiles on the Start screen. If you could not able to find it , open the Charms Bar and select search. There you will find the Application screen that you can eitherscroll with a pointing device or swipe through or you can type on the search bar to see apps.
5. How Do I Close My Apps?
In the desktop interface, you can close the applications is the same way as in previous versions of Windows.In Metro, applications don’t need to be closed, as it remain in the background in a Suspended mode. If you want to close it anyway on a touchscreen device you can drag it and left edge of the screen to get a list of running apps, then drag the icon of the application which you want to close to the bottom of the screen. Or with a pointing device,by move your pointing device to the left edge of the screen at the top edge to get a list of running apps. Right-click and choose Close on the selected app.
6. How Can I Shut Down or Restart?

If you want to shut down or need to restart your PC, by opening the Charms Bar, select Settings, and then the Power button, which will show you the Shutdown and Restart commands.
7. Why Don't My Websites Work?
when you are using Internet Explorer in the Metro interface, you will find that it won't support plug-ins or tool bars. This will cause some web features that belong on plug-ins such as ActiveX, Flash, or Silverlight will not get opened. When you visit a website which requires a plug-ins, then you will get a warning message, with an option to open the website in the desktop version of Internet Explorer, which will support plug-ins and tool bars.
8. How To Open Web Pages in IE Desktop?

 If you want to set the desktop version  of Internet Explorer as the default one  select the Desktop tile from the Start screen, from there select the Internet Explorer icon from the Task bar. Using the Tools icon you will get Internet Options.Chose the Program tab where you will find a drop down menu from there you can select the option to open links Always in Internet Explorer on the desktop. Also, check the box below.
